Researchers discovered that incorrect positioning often leads to inflated blood pressure readings, potentially misdiagnosing millions of Americans with hypertension.

Long-term exposure to air pollutants such as fine particulate matter increases the risk of respiratory illnesses, cardiovascular diseases, and cancers. In 2020, household air pollution was responsible for an estimated 3.2 million deaths per year.

The warning follows last week's U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) indictment of illegal online pharmacies selling counterfeit prescription pills laced with fentanyl and methamphetamine to tens of thousands of people in the U.S., leading to at least nine deaths.
